The people behind a rescue
Felis Catus organises and supports the stages around a rescue: case communication, transport, appointments, fundraising, daily care and adoption promotion.
We cannot respond to every situation alone. Volunteers, foster carers, veterinary professionals, donors and people who share cases are part of the same solution.

Volunteering and fostering
Practical ways to help
Perhaps you have a car and can help with a trip in Craiova. You might have space to foster a cat or be able to take photos and share adoption posts. Tell us what works for you.
Fostering means caring for a cat for a period agreed together. Before you commit, we discuss your space, other pets, timing and who can provide food, supplies and transport.

Frequently asked questions
Can I help if I don’t have much time?
Yes. Tell us when you are available and what you can do. An occasional trip or help with an announcement can be useful; you don’t need to commit to a daily schedule.
Can you take in every cat that is found?
We cannot guarantee a place. Send the location, what you have observed and what help you can offer. We assess urgency, space and resources before agreeing what we can do.
